Celebrating Women’s Month... Suez Canal Bank Organized a Series of Exhibitions for Its Female Employees, Combining Shopping and Entertainment, and Distributes Commemorative Gifts in Appreciation of Their Role
In celebration of Women’s Month, Suez Canal Bank organized a series of weekly activities for its female employees, including three exhibitions featuring a variety of products made by women producers. March witnessed three global and local celebrations for women (International Women’s Day, Egyptian Women’s Day, and Mother’s Day).
These activities were part of the bank’s participation in the Central Bank of Egypt’s initiative “AL Tamkin Khatwa,” and reflect the keenness to support exhibitors of handicrafts and women-led projects, enhancing their opportunities to market their products.
The events also aimed to involve the bank’s female employees in these occasions and recognize their role, in addition to strengthening internal communication. The Corporate Communications sector organizes activities and distributes commemorative gifts throughout the year to celebrate various occasions with employees.
The latest event combined shopping and entertainment in a festive atmosphere. It included an exhibition featuring a range of products, alongside selected local brands, giving employees the opportunity to shop and obtain their needs conveniently.
The event also included interactive activities that added joy, along with a specially designed photo corner, allowing participants to take and keep memorable photos with colleagues from different teams.
In the same context, a special commemorative gift was distributed for Women’s Month. Each employee received a box of skincare products along with a handmade mug from an Egyptian company led by young women entrepreneurs, where more than 85% of the team is female. The gift was accompanied by a motivational message for the employees, expressing gratitude for their ongoing efforts at home and at work, reflecting Suez Canal Bank’s continuous role in women’s economic empowerment.
The bank’s Financial Inclusion Department engaged with the exhibitors and provided financial awareness, including introducing the bank’s products and services and the benefits of the “Bidaya” account for financial inclusion.
In this context, Nour El Zeny, Head of Financial Inclusion, Corporate Communications, and Corporate Social Responsibility at Suez Canal Bank, said that the bank continues its role in supporting women. The CSR Department contributes to women’s health by covering treatment for certain cases in cooperation with specialized women’s hospitals, promotes social solidarity efforts such as the “Relieving Women in Debt” project, and supports the economic empowerment of women producers and entrepreneurs by helping finance production tools to enable them to establish their own projects and produce marketable handicrafts locally or for export.
She Added that the bank also provides opportunities to market products made by women by purchasing them and integrating them into corporate gifts offered to employees and clients. On the internal communication level, the Corporate Communications sector organizes appreciation and awareness initiatives, holds internal exhibitions to display and market handicraft products, encourages female employees to share their success stories, and honors exemplary mothers to recognize their role in overcoming personal challenges while continuing their professional journey.
