Suez Canal Bank Awarded ISO 9001:2015 International Quality Management Certification for the Administration and Engineering Division
During an official ceremony held at Suez Canal Bank’s headquarters, Mr. Akef El Maghraby, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Bank, received ISO 9001:2015 International Quality Management Systems certification for the Administration and Engineering Division, issued by the internationally recognized Greek company EUROCERT, in accordance with the approved global standards and specifications in this field.
The certificate was presented by H.E. Mr. Nikolaos Papageorgiou, Ambassador of Greece and Economic & Commercial Attaché in Egypt, Eng. Othman Mohamed Othman, Owner and Founder of NES Company and Ms. Amina Othman, CEO of NES Company. NES serves as the exclusive agent and representative of the Greek international company EUROCERT in Egypt, in line with the approved European regulations and standards governing quality management systems.
The ceremony was attended by Eng. Hany Fawzy, Head of the Administration and Engineering at Suez Canal Bank, in addition to several of the Bank’s senior executives.
The Administration and Engineering Division obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification following a comprehensive review and audit conducted by the awarding body of all policies and procedures implemented within the division, to ensure their full alignment with internationally approved quality management standards.
The granting of ISO 9001:2015 certification by EUROCERT — recognized as one of the leading international companies in testing, inspection, and auditing and accredited by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) — reflects the Bank’s commitment to implementing global best practices in management systems.
In this context, Mr. Akef El Maghraby, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Suez Canal Bank, stated that obtaining ISO 9001:2015 certification represents international recognition of the Bank’s dedication to applying quality management systems in line with the latest global standards. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the Bank’s continuous efforts to enhance systems and procedures, improve operational efficiency, and optimize resource utilization.
For his part, H.E. Mr. Nikolaos Papageorgiou, Ambassador of Greece and Economic & Commercial Attaché in Egypt, expressed his appreciation for Suez Canal Bank’s attainment of ISO 9001:2015 certification for the Administration and Engineering division, noting that the adoption of quality management systems contributes to strengthening institutional efficiency and enhancing competitiveness, and constitutes an important step toward supporting the business environment and achieving sustainable development.
Eng. Hany Fawzy, Head of the Administration and Engineering at Suez Canal Bank, affirmed the sector’s commitment to continuously developing its internal processes, upgrading operational systems, and applying international quality standards in alignment with the Bank’s vision, strategy, and the State’s direction, with the objective of reaching optimal performance levels and achieving the highest standards of quality.
In the same context, Eng. Othman Mohamed Othman, Chairman of NES Company, stated that Suez Canal Bank’s attainment of the ISO certification followed rigorous and comprehensive reviews of all policies and operational procedures in accordance with the highest internationally approved standards for quality management systems, reflecting the Bank’s commitment to implementing effective and sustainable methodologies.
