The Suez Canal Bank signed a cooperation protocol with the Chinese company "TEDA" to support investment capabilities in the Suez Canal Economic Zone

The Suez Canal Bank signed a cooperation protocol with the Chinese company TEDA, the industrial developer of the economic zone in Ain Sokhna to support the investment capabilities in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and open new horizons for cooperation aspects for existing and new investors in the economic zone of the Canal.

The protocol signed by Hussein Refaie, Chairman and Managing Director of the Suez Canal Bank, and Leo Emien, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEDA Holding Group.

This protocol is an extension of cooperation and success among the two parties and a consolidation of that historical relationship. In conjunction with the near success of Chinese company TEDA’s in attracting new Chinese investments to the region in the range of 5 billion US dollars during the coming period.

Hussein Refaie emphasized the cooperation between TEDA and Suez Canal Bank, pointing out the bank attaches great importance to the economic zone of the canal, and contributes to overcome the obstacles related to Chinese companies operating in the region.

Mr. Refaie added that the bank is not only supportive for foreign investments in the region but also considered to be a strategic partner with TEDA for the success of the economic zone.

Al-Haytham Al-Qobrosly, Senior General Manager and Head of the Credit and Corporate Finance Sector at Suez Canal Bank, stress on the necessity of exploiting the successful historical relationship regarding TEDA group and the companies operating in it and Suez Canal Bank. The top of success comes from the trust between the group of companies and teamwork at Suez Canal Bank who contributed to achieve mutual successes and integration.

Al-Haytham Al-Qobrosly added that the bank's role will not be limited in providing banking services only but will also provide full support to investors, whether by consultancy and banking services or studying the financial needs.

On the sidelines of the protocol signature, Hussein Refaie, Chairman and Managing Director of the Suez Canal Bank, accompanied by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEDA, visited several new factories operating in Ain Sokhna.

Last March, it is worth mention that Suez Canal Bank signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Authority for the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal, regarding cooperation and participation in negotiations with financial institutions to finance small and medium enterprises and business incubators affiliated industrial zones.
